Ripple Effect

Lovely – on this lovely Mother’s Day.

Lynda Bullerwell poetry's avatarforget-me-not

The pitter patter of love’s droplets
sprinkled upon our cheeks
should show you
that there is so much more
than cannot be explained by science
or astronomy, in atoms, molecules
or the idiosyncrasies of man
in his perfect condition.

On blue-gray evenings
when constellations collide
and lovers
simultaneously combust
from the sheer delight
of the other’s pulsing promises,

soft waves of spiritual movement
create a transformation
in the quiet atmosphere of us.

If you can help…

Tisha Wardlow's avatarFight for Rhinos

The baby southern white rhino was abandoned by mom and found by the Ol Pejeta team when he was only 2 weeks old. Very sick and barely alive, he has made an amazing recovery with the help of caretakers.

Named Ringo, after rhino advocate Ringo Starr, he has been introduced to Sudan, the last male northern white rhino on the planet. The two make quite the pair. Click below to watch more:

Photo from cover of ‘Rail Tales’

PRIORITY SEATING No. 2

Young woman sits

while an old man stands.

She gazes through layers

of foundation.

Does it screen

the opposite wall?

Can’t she read the

  “Who are you fooling?”

Fake fur-collared jacket

and label shoes.

Large black leather bag

clutched to protect her

– it doesn’t – she’s mean!

The old man has turned

his neat and clean

but well-worn back

and solidly sways,

not expecting courtesy.
