I CANNOT be the only one who loves this. This is the only type of selfie I am prepared so far not to look on with withering contempt! 🙂

Allan Dixon has a habit of coaxing animals into a posing for selfies with him all around the world. Unlike the abysmal morons who have killed swans and dolphins trying to take pictures with them, Mr Dixon will wait however long it takes to gain their trust, from minutes to ass-numbing hours, sitting there waiting for them to come up to him!

Do you have any faves?

There’s another next week, if you missed this one!

Many thanks to everyone who came along to the morning tea at the Perth Hilton yesterday to celebrate the release of my new book The Woman Next Door. More than 180 people turned up; so many the event had to be moved to a larger room! The wonderful Ann Poublon from Dymocks at Garden City did a wonderful job organising it all and the morning tea the Hilton provided was very good…particularly those absolutely delicious macarons.

I always enjoy chatting with Will Yeoman and we managed to talk about the book without giving away too much – I hope! A big thank you to all of you who waited so patiently to have your books signed. It was lovely to meet you, and I hope you all enjoy the book.

And if you couldn’t attend this event, we have another one coming up next Tuesday 12 July at the Grove…
